Neurofeedback

When Your Body Won’t Settle, No Matter How Hard You Try

Maybe you’ve spent years wondering why your body reacts faster than your mind can keep up. You try to stay calm, focus, and communicate clearly, but your heart races, your thoughts scatter, your body shuts down, or you suddenly feel far away from yourself.

You tell yourself, “Why can’t I just control this? What’s wrong with me?”

Nothing is “wrong” with you. Your nervous system has been carrying more than any one person should.

When the brain has spent years in survival mode, it doesn’t automatically know how to shift into safety. Neurofeedback helps with that.

4-Day Neurofeedback Intensives

A focused, accelerated program designed to help your nervous system reset more quickly. Over four consecutive days, you’ll receive multiple Neurofeedback sessions that support deeper regulation, faster progress, and greater stability.

When Your Symptoms Don’t Make Sense — Until They Do

If you relate to any of these experiences, Neurofeedback may help:

  • Feeling easily overwhelmed or overstimulated

  • Difficulty focusing, remembering, or finishing tasks

  • Sudden fatigue, dizziness, or “body crashes”

  • Emotional numbness, shutdown, or feeling far away

  • Chronic anxiety that doesn’t respond to logic

  • Feeling “on alert” even when nothing is wrong

  • Moments of distraction or shutdown that are really your nervous system reacting

  • A body that doesn’t match your intentions

For clients with CPTSD, the brain learns to survive through hypervigilance, shutdown, or a mix of both.

For clients with insomnia, the nervous system struggles to settle into a calm, restful rhythm at night, leading to disrupted sleep.

For clients with neurological injuries (like childhood strokes), the brain reroutes and overworks to keep functioning.

For clients with ADHD-like symptoms, trauma and dysregulation can intensify attention and focus challenges.

Neurofeedback doesn’t ask you to “try harder.”

It helps your brain learn how to calm, regulate, focus, and adapt from the inside out.

How Neurofeedback Helps a Nervous System That’s Been Through Too Much

Neurofeedback supports the brain by helping it learn patterns that feel more balanced and less chaotic. For clients whose nervous systems have been through far too much, this can look like:

  • Fewer sudden spikes of panic or feeling on edge

  • Less zoning out, numbing, or shutting down

  • Being able to focus more easily without pushing yourself

  • Calmer body reactions like dizziness, racing heart, or feeling faint

  • Feeling more present in your body without crashing, overheating, or needing to escape

It’s gentle, structured, and doesn’t require talking about painful memories. Your brain practices stability over and over — safely and at its own pace.

What to Expect in a Neurofeedback Session

Sessions are calm, simple, and non-invasive. Small sensors read your brain’s activity while you watch or listen to feedback that shifts as your brain moves toward healthier patterns.

Most clients complete a series of sessions so the brain can build and hold new regulation patterns. Neurofeedback can stand alone or strengthen EMDR, somatic, and attachment-based work.

Is Neurofeedback Right for You?

Neurofeedback may be a good fit if you feel like your body reacts before you can think — even when you’re trying your best to stay calm, focused, and present. If you’re living with symptoms that don’t fully respond to logic, coping skills, or “trying harder,” this type of brain-based training can offer another way forward.

My body overreacts, shuts down, or feels far away.

I feel overwhelmed or numb more often than I want to admit.

I deal with anxiety that doesn’t make sense, even when things seem fine.

I get stuck in CPTSD patterns that swing between hypervigilance and collapse.

My focus disappears under stress, and my ADHD-like symptoms get worse.

My nervous system feels stuck in survival mode, no matter how hard I try to calm down.

Neurofeedback doesn’t require you to relive trauma or push your body past what it can handle. Instead, your brain gets repeated opportunities to practice calmer, more regulated patterns — gently and safely.

Neurofeedback Packages

Neurofeedback is offered as a structured series so your brain has enough repetition to learn and hold new regulation patterns. Together, we’ll decide on the pacing and format that best supports your nervous system, goals, and schedule.

  • A minimum of 12 sessions ($110 per session / $1,320 total) is required to begin Neurofeedback treatment. This initial package is paid upfront.

After completing the initial package, you may:

    • Continue with additional Neurofeedback packages, or

    • Pay per session at $130 per session

Neurofeedback is typically scheduled weekly or twice weekly, depending on your needs and availability. We’ll discuss frequency together as part of your overall treatment plan.

Standard Neurofeedback sessions can stand alone, or be combined with therapy sessions, including EMDR, somatic therapy, and attachment-based work, to support deeper regulation and stability

Most clients complete a series of sessions so the brain can build and maintain new regulation patterns over time.

  • For clients who want more concentrated support, Neurofeedback is also available in an intensive format. Intensives provide repeated nervous system training over a short period of time, helping the brain build regulation and stability more efficiently than spaced sessions alone.

    4-Day Neurofeedback Intensive

    • Four consecutive days

    • Approximately three hours each day

    • Multiple Neurofeedback sessions per day

    • Designed to create momentum, regulation, and nervous system steadiness

Neurofeedback intensives may be used as a standalone option, or as a foundation before continuing with standard weekly Neurofeedback or therapy sessions

We’ll decide together whether an intensive, standard sessions, or a combination of both is the best fit for you.

Note: I don’t take insurance. I can provide a superbill for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Good Faith Estimate available on request. I do offer Care Credit for neurofeedback.

You Don’t Have to Live in Survival Mode Anymore

Neurofeedback helps your brain find another option – one where you can think, feel, connect, and rest without constantly fighting yourself.

If you’re living with symptoms that don’t make sense, a past you can’t just “move on” from, or a body that reacts before you can, Neurofeedback can offer a path toward stability and hope.
