Frequently Asked Questions
-
Most clients come in feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure why their reactions feel so big. If you want a slower, more compassionate space to understand your story, explore your patterns, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others, we may be a good fit.
-
We move slowly and gently. I won’t push you into stories, memories, or emotions you’re not ready for. Instead, we pay attention to your nervous system, explore younger parts of you with compassion, and work toward understanding your reactions—not judging them. The goal is safety, clarity, and connection.
-
No. You only share what feels safe and useful. Many clients make meaningful progress without retelling traumatic events. We focus more on how your experiences live in your body, your relationships, and your emotional patterns today.
-
I integrate EMDR, somatic therapy, parts work, and attachment-based approaches to help you feel more grounded, regulated, and connected. For couples, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). When appropriate, Neurofeedback can support deeper nervous-system regulation.

Yes—if you want it. For Christian clients, we can explore how faith, identity, and attachment wounds intersect. Faith is never pressured or used as a tool for shame; it’s honored gently and respectfully. If you prefer a non-faith approach, that is fully supported as well.
-
Therapy helps you understand your story, emotions, and relational patterns. Neurofeedback helps your brain and nervous system regulate more easily. Many clients choose to do both, because emotional work becomes easier when the nervous system feels more steady and supported.
-
We slow down the conflict cycle so both partners can understand what’s happening underneath the arguments—fear, longing, disconnection, or past wounds. You’ll learn how to reach for each other without panic, shutdown, or criticism, and how to rebuild trust and emotional safety.

Yes. Individual and couples therapy are available via secure telehealth for clients across Nevada.

I am out-of-network and do not bill insurance directly. I can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan. A Good Faith Estimate is available upon request.

Most clients meet weekly or biweekly depending on their goals, needs, and nervous-system capacity. Some begin weekly and space out sessions as they feel more grounded and stable.
-
That’s actually very common. We move at a pace that keeps your nervous system supported, and we use grounding, somatic awareness, and gentle pacing to help you stay connected. You will never be pushed to “open up” before you’re ready.

I require 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Missed or late-cancelled sessions are billed at the full fee.

I want to be thoughtful and thorough about our fit together. In my experience, it’s difficult to determine whether working together will be supportive and effective through a brief phone call.
Instead, I offer a 50-minute consultation session at my standard rate. This gives us the time and space to talk more deeply about what you’re hoping for, ask meaningful questions, and thoughtfully explore whether my approach is the right fit for your healing journey. My intention is to support clients in a way that truly serves them, rather than rushing an important decision.
The primary difference between a consultation session and a therapy session is paperwork. During a consultation, you are not yet a client, so formal intake paperwork is not required. We’re simply meeting to explore fit. If we decide together that moving forward makes sense, we’ll then schedule a therapy session and complete the appropriate paperwork at that time.

If you’re interested in the six-month Relationship Recovery Process group, complete the online intake form. I’ll review your responses and reach out if it appears to be a good therapeutic match. A brief screening call is included at no cost.
If you’re ready
You don’t have to make sense of your story alone. Healing is possible when you’re met with attunement, honesty, and someone willing to walk beside you while also nudging you toward the future you want.
