Therapy that helps you feel different—safe, seen, and fully yourself.

We’ll slow things down, make sense of what hurts, and rebuild connection—within yourself and with the people you love.

You want to feel seen—not analyzed. Together we’ll name what’s underneath the conflict and the flashbacks, so your nervous system can finally exhale. I help women and couples heal childhood wounds, organize emotional flashbacks, and create honest, secure relationships.

I’m Kim Rowley, a trauma-informed therapist (EMDR-trained) serving women and couples. I’m a first-generation Mexican American and bilingual (English • Español). Faith matters to many of my clients; when you want it, I offer a Christ-centered, compassion-first lens—never pressure.

I’ve been married 27 years. I know relationships can be messy and beautiful at the same time. My work is about creating safety and telling the truth in love—so healing becomes something you can feel, not just think about.

You bring your story; we’ll bring structure, safety, and momentum.

Sessions are experiential (EMDR, somatic, EFT) and paced to your nervous system so change is felt in your body—not forced.

Trauma Therapy for Women

If childhood pain still echoes in the present—anxiety, emotional flashbacks, people-pleasing—we’ll help your adult self care for younger parts, set kinder boundaries, and feel whole.

Groups (RRP)

Couples Therapy (EFT)

Behind arguments are deeper questions: Do you see me? Do I matter to you? Will you be there when I reach for you? With EFT, we’ll slow the cycle, speak needs, and build secure, lasting bonds.

Neurofeedback BrainPaint

Noninvasive brain training that supports regulation, focus, and calmer mood. We’ll decide together if it’s a fit alongside therapy.

Hike Therapy (in training)

Nature-based sessions outdoors—engaging breath, movement, and the calming effects of the natural world. Waitlist now.

In the trees >

EMDR

Helps your brain reprocess stuck memories so they’re less triggering

Somatic Therapy

Uses breath and body awareness to release stored stress.

EFT for Couples

Turns blame into bonding by naming needs and emotions.

Neurofeedback

Trains the brain toward regulation; often improves sleep, focus, and reactivity.

If you want faith integrated, we’ll do that—gently and respectfully. If not, we’ll keep it secular.

What Sets My Approach Apart?

I take an intentional, individualized, and research-informed approach—asking the right questions, helping you make sense of your experiences, and gently challenging you when it supports growth.

My style is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. By integrating science with extensive clinical training, I aim to provide effective treatment that not only offers quick relief from symptoms but also empowers you with skills to become your own therapist—building confidence, resilience, and lasting change.

  • The duration of therapy varies depending on the chronicity and severity of the problem, skill practice outside of therapy sessions, and consistency of attendance. The goal is to help clients learn how to help themselves and no longer need therapy. Many clients will benefit from 12-20 therapy sessions scheduled for 50 minutes each week. Sustainable change takes time - you can do it!

  • My priority is to provide high quality, tailored therapy and testing that is comprehensive, timely, and affordable. Insurance companies require a diagnosis and then make it a permanent part of the client’s medical record. I feel that my clients should be able to choose if they want to do that.

That means that I do not accept insurance. Clients pay my full fee at the time of each session. The OON process works by you paying the full session fee upfront, and then I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I recognize that this is an investment; this is why I use evidence-based treatments designed to help you make progress more quickly.

For testing, it is my priority that decisions about your care and selection of the most appropriate assessments are made by you and me and not insurance employees. My priority is assessment quality. Insurance companies do not cover testing for learning concerns and many other areas that I assess.

Clients may choose to split payments into two—50% paid at the intake session and 50% due at the feedback session (typically within 1 month from the last session). I also provide superbill to use to submit to insurance.

  • Licensed clinical psychologists have completed a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD), passed a national exam, been deemed as meeting qualifications by the state psychology board, and engaged in continuing education activities. Additionally, PhD clinical psychology training programs require students to have solid research training to understand and apply treatments and assessments supported by research.

Many clinical psychologists, like myself, also undergo additional extensive years of specialized training post-doctoral degree. This means that you can trust clinical psychologists to provide treatment techniques that are highly specialized, have strong scientific foundations, and are shown to be effective.
